Business Analyst

We’re looking for a Technical Business Analyst to turn business needs into clear requirements and coordinate delivery across 1–2 development squads. You’ll work closely with the Product Lead, clients, engineers, and QA within the agreed product direction, with room to grow towards a Product Owner role.

What you’ll do

• Translate business requests into requirements, user stories, and technical tasks with clear acceptance criteria.
• Maintain the backlog: decompose initiatives, prepare refinements, and prioritise tasks within agreed business priorities.
• Analyse API documentation, business rules, dependencies, and edge cases together with engineers and QA.
• Facilitate refinements, planning, and daily coordination; clarify requirements and escalate blockers early.
• Participate in UAT, prepare demos, and gather stakeholder feedback.
• Keep documentation in Confluence up to date, using BPMN/UML where helpful.

What we’re looking for

• 1–2+ years of commercial experience as a Business Analyst, System Analyst, Technical Product Owner, or in a similar role.
• Solid understanding of REST APIs, HTTP, JSON/XML, and client-server architecture; practical experience with Swagger/OpenAPI and Postman.
• Experience gathering requirements and breaking them down into manageable tasks with testable acceptance criteria.
• Practical understanding of Agile/Scrum, the software development lifecycle, and backlog management.
• Experience with BPMN/UML, Jira, and Confluence.
• Clear communication, a structured approach, and ownership of open questions and commitments.
• Upper-Intermediate English (B2)+ and readiness to work from our Kyiv office.

Nice to have

• Experience in FinTech/PayTech, payment flows, or payment provider integrations.
• Basic SQL skills and experience with UAT or acceptance testing.
• Interest in growing towards a Product Owner role.
