Connect & unify

Add the methods your current provider doesn't cover

Keep the provider that performs and connect a second one for the method or payout rail it lacks.

Use case summary

When your provider lacks a payment or payout method your customers need, connect a second provider that has it from the catalog of 650+ connectors. Your primary PSP keeps its traffic, and routing sends only the missing method to the new one. Result: the missing method goes live, and your existing setup is unchanged.

Why one missing method is hard to justify fixing

Most payment setups start with one provider that covers the bulk of what the business needs, and that provider often keeps performing well for years.

Gaps appear one at a time. Customers in a market you already serve ask for a local method your PSP does not support. Finance needs to pay out to a rail your deposit provider cannot reach. A partner wants settlement in a missing currency. None of these is a reason to leave a provider that handles everything else well.

The usual options are to leave the gap open, which costs sales every day it stays that way, or to build a direct integration for one method, which takes the same engineering effort as integrating a whole new provider.

How to close a coverage gap without changing providers

Each gap is a single payment method, payout rail, or currency. The change covers only that: one provider added for it, and one routing rule that sends it there.

  1. 1

    Name the gap precisely

Filter the public connectors directory by the currency, payment or payout method, and flow type you are missing. You see which connected providers already cover it before any commercial conversation starts.

  2. 2

Leave your primary provider as it is

Its traffic, contract, and position in your routing stay the same throughout.

  3. 3

Connect the provider that fills the gap

Open your own account with that provider, then link your MID credentials. The connector already exists, and the contract and settlement stay yours.

  4. 4

Route only the gap to it

Routing rules send the missing method, payout rail, or currency to the new provider, using attributes such as customer country or region. All other traffic follows the routes it followed before.

  5. 5

Request the provider if it isn't connected yet

When the provider you need is not in the catalog, Corefy's integration team reviews its API and builds the connector, which is then maintained with the rest of the catalog.

What you get

You close the gaps customers and partners raise, one provider at a time, and the rest of the setup keeps running.

  • Recover sales lost to a missing method

Customers who were ready to pay but could not find their method can complete the purchase, in markets where you already spend on acquisition.

  • No risk to the provider that performs

Your primary PSP keeps its traffic, contract, and negotiated rates, so the pricing and approval performance you have built up with it are not put at risk.

  • Payouts that reach recipients the way they expect

Affiliates, sellers, and customers get paid on the rails they use, through whichever connected provider reaches them, regardless of who processed the deposit.

  • Engineering time stays on your product

Adding a method means linking credentials for a provider that is already integrated and writing a routing rule, so the work is configuration your payment team can do.

1 in 10 shoppers has left a checkout over a missing payment method

Baymard Institute's checkout research found that 10% of online shoppers had abandoned a purchase because the site did not offer the payment option they wanted. Baymard counts this among the actionable causes of abandonment, separate from the larger share of shoppers who were only browsing. Those shoppers had already chosen what to buy. Their reason for leaving was the payment method on offer, which a merchant addresses by adding a provider that supports it.
