Connectum

Connectum

Global payment processing for each client.

Supports in this guide: Payments, Payouts

Provider website: connectum.eu

What you need to do for start processing transactions (brief summary)

  1. Choose account type
  2. Get your credentials (from Connectum)
  3. Connect in Dashboard
  4. Send an API request

Choose account type

Connectum can be connected in different ways (depending on your needs):

  • If you do direct card payments (H2H, no redirect) -> choose H2H Merchant account
  • If you do card payouts (token-based) -> choose Provider account

If you're not sure which one to use, confirm with your Corefy account manager.

Prerequisites: get from Connectum

Contact your Connectum account manager to get your account verified and receive the following credentials.

  • Account -> Corefy field account.
  • Password -> Corefy field password.
  • PKCS key -> Corefy field pkcs_key -> uploaded as a file.
  • Certificate password -> Corefy field cert_password.

Important

Connectum renews access certificates annually. Once Connectum issues you a new certificate/PKCS key, you need to update it on the connected account(s) in Corefy, or requests will start failing.

EUR, USD, GBP, AUD, CAD, UAH.

  • Certificate password
  • Test Mode -> (enable if you are using sandbox credentials)

Success

You have connected Connectum H2H Merchant account!

First request to Corefy API (MIN)

What it does: creates a payment-invoice; card data itself is collected and submitted separately by Corefy's checkout/SDK layer, not as part of this request. Every payment is forced through 3D Secure and auto-captured - these are not configurable.

Payment - MIN

POST /api/payment-invoices

{
  "data": {
    "type": "payment-invoice",
    "attributes": {
      "reference_id": "6be05631-8710-4b14-a369-1928a2b70eda",
      "service": "payment_card_eur_hpp",
      "currency": "EUR",
      "amount": 10
    }
  }
}

Important

If customer.email is missing, Connectum's own connector code sends a fixed placeholder email instead of leaving the field empty or failing the request - there is no Constant to override this.

Payment - MAX

POST /api/payment-invoices

{
  "data": {
    "type": "payment-invoice",
    "attributes": {
      "reference_id": "199be985-c243-478a-86a8-4b8c902e5bb6",
      "service": "payment_card_eur_hpp",
      "currency": "EUR",
      "amount": 10,
      "customer": {
        "reference_id": "cus_123",
        "email": "test@test.com"
      }
    }
  }
}

Extended request (MAX)

Why add extra fields (typical reasons): - Provide additional customer details for compliance/reconciliation - Positively influence conversion rate - Include optional fields required by your specific flow

Refunds

Connectum supports partial refunds, but only one refund per payment. The original transaction ID is required to process a refund.

Payouts processing (connect Provider account, create payout-invoice)

Connect Provider account in Corefy Dashboard

Uses the same credentials as the H2H Merchant account above - Account, Password, PKCS key, Certificate password.

Success

You have connected Connectum Provider account!

First request to Corefy API (MIN)

What it does: creates a payout-invoice and pays out to a previously saved Connectum card token.

Payout - MIN

POST /api/payout-invoices

{
  "data": {
    "type": "payout-invoice",
    "attributes": {
      "reference_id": "efbf0a2b-5590-42b7-b10b-94d49452147d",
      "service": "card_token",
      "currency": "EUR",
      "amount": 150,
      "customer": {
        "reference_id": "cus_123"
      },
      "fields": {
        "token": "tok_1a2b3c4d5e6f"
      }
    }
  }
}

Important

fields.token is required - this connector pays out to a card token Connectum has already issued (via an earlier Payments transaction), not to a raw card number. There are two routing variants of this service, differing only in whether Connectum enforces an Original Credit Transaction (OCT) on the payout.

Refunds

Connectum does not support refunds on Payouts.

Additional info

  1. Active reconciliation is available on both Payments and Payouts.
  2. No recurring - this connector does not support saving/charging a token through Corefy itself (the Payouts token comes from Connectum's own system, not from Corefy's token-save mechanism).
  3. CVV-exempt (non-CVV) transactions and configurable 3DS-version control are not supported - every card payment requires CVV and goes through 3D Secure.

FAQ / Troubleshooting

  • Invalid credentials / auth error -> verify the account/password and that the PKCS key + certificate password are current (Connectum certificates expire annually)
  • Requests suddenly start failing -> check whether Connectum has issued a new annual certificate; update the PKCS key/certificate password on the account if so
  • Currency or service is not supported -> confirm allowed currencies/features in your Connectum account and in Corefy
  • Payout rejected for missing token -> fields.token must be a valid token already issued by Connectum
  • Refund fails on a second attempt -> only one refund per payment is allowed
